Interactivity & Control: Project Description

Interactive Mouse Toy

"In this project you are to create an interactive application that engages the user in a fun and unique interaction. To do this you are to explore the difference between control and interaction."

Exploring the difference between control and interaction through the means of an application requiring the use of the mouse function. It is not a game, it is an interaction or interactive experience.

By adjusting computer responses to user input, interaction and control will be explored. Gaining knowledge of the boundary between the two. As there is a fine line between control and interaction, a good way to start recognising a difference is realising whether the user learns anything from the experience. If they don't learn anything, then it is simply control. If they do learn something, then they are interacting. It is this interaction that helps the user gain knowledge.
