Fabricate: Stand

I decided to create a stand for my model that would reflect my words, storm, shatter and violent.



I decided to use wood as a base and then incorporate a design onto the wood.

ANGLE GRINDER

An angle grinder is an electronic machine that allows you to grind into metal or wood, for whatever purpose. I decided to use this machine in a safe manner to carve a design into my stand.
I did a test on a small piece of wood, that allowed me to understand the angles which are used to cut a design. 

This made it possible for me to grind curves into the wood in the style I wanted.


I then used a mixture of turps and flaxseed oil to create a glaze to add depth to the colour of the wood and enhance the design.
