DSDN112: jQuery Slider Attempt

To create the actual comic I am going to attempt to use a jQuery Slider to adapt into my own website. This uses a program to insert all the desired images and generates code. From there I will modify that code to keep the parts I want and add other parts (such as my desired buttons).
I found a website that provides free demo's of sliders using jQuery at http://www.menucool.com/slider/javascript-image-slider-demo1. From here I downloaded a demo and combined that with my code to see if it would work before I changed all the code within it.

Unfortunately some of the code from this open source site was too complex to make extreme changes to. I tried several attempts at starting over but unfortunately they all failed. With the attempts I made at starting over from scratch, I tried to change different things each time.

The first time I tried to change the navigation buttons to my own images. This was effectively transferring the action from one image to another. This was not so successful whatever way I tried.

I also tried to change the transition effects to a simple slide in the from right. Previously there was a range of transitions, but most of these were inappropriate and distracting for my purpose. I managed to make it so that each image would slide in from the right, but every fourth click would result in the image coming in from the left. This would not do. It created a confusing and non linear passage through the comic that was very unclear. I couldn't prevent this from happening. So, I began from scratch again.
