Setting up the page for the web comic, I am following the design that I specified in my sketching. I am going to have a div in the middle of the page with a bar at the bottom where the buttons will be located.
I have coloured the div's with bright colours to easily see the positioning of each div. In the future these colours will change to monotones, possibly black and white.

I have added the pictures of the dog character to the button bar area. These will be converted to buttons using jQuery in the future. I have also experimented using black and white tones throughout the page. I think this has a nice contrasting feel. I want to use these colours because there is quite a lot of colour in the pages of the comic. These colours are limited to darker tones. Therefore the black and white tones won't outshine the colours, yet they are still contrasting.
