Looking down, feeling down:
This section of the reading talks about looking down on a character or down on a situation to create emotion and feeling within the viewer. Looking down upon the situation creates a feeling of s small character being overwhelemed with the situation around him. Of course this changes depending on the other characteristics of the situation.

Overpowering upshots:
Looking up at a character or scene makes everything look bigger and more dominating. Upshots are used to create a sense of power and control and make everything seem more dominating.

Contrast and light are also helpful when it comes to using upshots and low shots to help create the contrast of what is good and what it bad. This can be seen with Marcos Mateu-Mestre's Framed Ink as he looks at combining the different angled shots with contrast and light to create emphasis.
