I have been experimenting with foam to create a mass form. With this model I will focus on creating contrast and transition using mass to see these principles. I have been finding it harder to use foam than any of the previous materials because once you have cut, or taken away a part of the material there is no way of going back. Therefore every cut and slice has to be purposeful.
I have chosen a model which best demonstrates contrast and transition and will continue to develop until happy with scale and proportions.
