DSDN101: Pattern with Colour

I have decided on the arrangement of colours within my pattern. As I wanted to combine colours in both the New Zealand flag and the Maori flag I used a combination of red, blue, white and black in my testing. As both the red and white are in both of the flags I decided after much testing to use only one of these colours as the joining colour between the two cultures. I wanted to incorporate both the blue of the New Zealand flag and the black from the Maori flag as these colours are unique to each of the flags. This shows the differences that each culture brings to New Zealand but how they have similarities and have joined using the common colour.
