The Beginning: Studio One

The very first step of project one was to fold paper. So I folded paper, a lot of paper, in a very short amount of time. And it was amazing to see the variations of each design when so short amount of time and little thought was spent on the design. There were failures, but there were also successes of the assigned job.


The next task was to take one of the designs that I liked and continue using the original to create iterative development of the initial design. I didn't get that far into the iterative process for the amount of time we had as I had a slow start trying to figure out how to recreate the model that I liked. But here we are, with the original model and two iterations of that model. Although further develop would produce a wider range of successes, failures and interesting models, I am happy with what I managed to create. So the exercise was in no way a failure for me.
