I have researched images of inspiration for laser cutting that will help and inspire me.
I will be using the hero model from the project Make & Modify and using laser cutting to transform the model from a 3d virtual environment to a 2D form and constucted into a real 3d model.

This image has been created using the technique of laser cutting to cut the many small fragments and turn into a constructed 3D model. This is a very inspiring model for me as my hero model from Make & Modify has many small fragments. This image shows the delicate and intricate cuts laser cutting can do.

This model has been made using acrylic material consisting of different parts joined together to form a 3D model. This model has many pieces to it also that have been intricately carved by the laser cutter. I could apply this technique to my model as I have lots of pieces sticking out from various places to develop the essence of my words storm, shatter and violent.

I really like the curved pieces and how they are constructed with this model. As part of my model is curved this is a good example of how laser cutting can produce curved results. However, I am not sure in what way I will be constructing my model presently and it may not result in curved surfaces.

Here are some complex laser cut models. This is inspiring me as it shows me that laser cutting can successfully create intricate and complex models. I was worried about using my hero model to begin with as it had so many pieces to it. Seeing complex models like this one be successfully created is inspiring me and helping me realise that I can complete this project using my hero model from Make & Modify.
