DSDN111: Final Model + Summary

My final images that depict my ideas best within my model. As I began the precedent images I was looking at were an image of a dance movement that show the arm at different angles within the movement. I also looked at using layers to create transition. With my model, I have used a combination of rino plastic and wire and combined them in a way that creates juxtaposition between the two materials and brings them into one form. The compositional strategy I used was both rotation and shift, the key to this was making changes to the layers of plastic. To create and enhance transition, each strip of rino plastic was a different length and this created an arc that changed in shape. The overlapping of the strips also created a nice transparency that guided the transition and curve of each strip. I learned many different skills in this project, most importantly learning how to combine fluidity with a static form and being able to make a whole, encompassing design.
