Disposition is a habit, a preparation, a state of readiness, a tendency to act in a specified way. Dispositional belief, a belief held in the mind but not currently being considered. Evoking different emotions through ambience sounds not thought of by the mind.

In the busy world we live in, life doesn’t slow down. Tranquility and calmness are feelings we aim to have amidst our busy lives, but are often forgotten.

Wellington is surrounded by the ocean, where the rolling and splashing of water can be a comforting sound, but often is overthought. Urbanisation changes society, with more work and busier schedules, life can be overwhelming. Nature can make us feel differently and change our focus and perception, if only we were to take a moment.

Sometimes all we need is to stop and listen to whats around us, and envelope ourselves in what we can hear in order to obtain the calm and tranquil feelings we so often desire.

Disposition aims to bring feelings of tranquility and calmness, even if that is not what is being considered in the mind of the listener. The repetition of our busy lives can distort what we feel and think, but Disposition aims to provide a channel to access these natural and desired feelings with the unification of nature and city.

"For this project, you will explore the multiple new inputs available to a new generation of smart phones and tablet computers by building interactive experiments that re-imagine children’s picture books and updates them for this new medium."

"Conduct research into the existing interaction paradigms, and determine which tools are available to you. Try to imagine alternative methods of navigating content, generating user feedback loops, and eliciting delight in small interactions."

For project 2, I will be creating an e-book of Duck, Death and the Tulip by Wolf Erlbruch and published by Gecko Press. The story revolves around the characters of Duck and Death, where Duck meets the character Death, who helps her to prepare for the process of death itself. The two become friends and the story is quite intimate between the two characters.

Below are the slides from my interim presentation and the beginning stages of what I plan to create for this e-book. I don't want to include to many interactions, as I want to focus on the narrative drive of the story. I become emotionally investigate in the narrative, and I want the user to also become invested in the emotional narrative, with a focus on several intimate scenes between the two characters.
